2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel rules the road | Planet Dodge Jeep Miami

No matter where you live, chances are you see Jeeps everywhere, from grocery store parking lots and the corner convenience store to upscale restaurants and neighborhood driveways. Whether they are standard stock, upgraded or customized, they have a loyal following and hold their value better than virtually any other vehicle on the road. Wrangler is known for its durability and ruggedness. The iconic off-road warrior has upped its game with the 2020 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel.

For anyone who wants to design their ride, there’s nothing like a 2020 Jeep. True to its history, you can choose options for everything from the powertrain and engine to soft or hardtop and wheels. There are four different configurations and two special editions available for the new model year, not including the four-door models, giving drivers six ways to experience Jeep dependability. Top to bottom and everything in between, the new Wrangler has the features you’ve been waiting for.

V-6 EcoDiesel

The wait is finally over, and Jeep enthusiasts are celebrating the first Wrangler diesel. There’s no mistaking this Wrangler for a regular gas engine. The 3.6 Liter V6 delivers a roar and impressive power. From hauling toys to putting the hammer down on the highway, the 260 hp engine is just the beginning of the thrilling driving experience. Mechanically the same as the Ram’s engine, with a few exceptions, several features that propel the 2020 Wrangler to the head of the class.

Torque

Delivering 442 lb-ft of torque at 1,400 rpm staking your claim in the sand is a breeze. With the Command-Trac® Part-Time 4WD standard, you can power out of the dunes and cruise through soft sand. The Wrangler is a natural at clambering over boulders, up rocky inclines and crawling in unexpected spaces. This Jeep is as adept at highway cruising as it is off-road. When it comes to pulling heavy loads, the torque ensures smooth, steady pressure on the gas is all you need to get the job done.

Approach/Departure Angle

Steep inclines are no problem for this year’s Wrangler. Depending on the trim, ground clearance is 8.3-inches to 10-inches. Add in a maximum 44-degree approach angle and 37-degree departure angle, you can get where you want to go without scraping the bumpers, even with slightly aired-down tires.

Fuel Economy

The 18.3-gallon fuel tank has about a 500-mile range, which is perfect for getting you home after a long day off-roading. It also weighs in about 400 pounds more than a comparable model. Most of the extra weight is due to the iron block, which helps deal with the higher stress on the diesel engine. Noise and vibration are usually the trade-offs for fuel economy and diesel power. Not so with the 2020 Wrangler. Hydraulic engine mounts, sound deadening foam new carpet keeps the noise to a minimum, even when stopped at a traffic light with a soft-top.

EcoDiesel is available in a four-door, four-wheel-drive Wranglers with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The majority of this third-generation EcoDiesel engine is new, which helps improve range, performance and fuel economy.

Available Features

Known for its austere interior, Jeep has advanced their tech options from older models. Whether you’re hitting the hard-pack at the beach, heading out for a wild ride in the Everglades, mudding in Redneck Mud Park or commuting daily, these upgrades personalize your ride to fit your needs and make it uniquely yours.
