2019 SUV of the Year

The Jeep Wrangler is the 2019 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) of the Year, according to MotorTrend magazine. Though it has been around for more than 70 years, this new model brings updated, fun, and exciting features to add to the strength and reliability you expect. From the more user-friendly top and sides to the windshield that folds down out of the way to a more intuitive interior, you will find a ton of new bells and whistles calling to you if you are in the market for a new ride.

Available Body Styles

If you are nostalgic for the good old days of the Jeep, you'll love the classic two-door version available with a V-6 or a manual transmission. If you are at a different stage in life, you may find that four doors would better accommodate your family, or the added room may be helpful when hauling your buddies around. If that is the case, rest assured that more doors do not equal less performance. The 2019 Jeep Wrangler provides the same powerful but comfortable ride in both a two-door and four-door model.

The Rubicon Package

While it may be hard to believe, Jeep found ways to improve the Rubicon trim package on the 2019 Wrangler. Improved articulation and total suspension travel are upgraded, making it easier to go from commuter to off-road warrior. Dana 44 front and rear axles feature electronic locking differentials and disconnecting anti-roll bars. The Rubicon is designed to appeal to die-hard Jeep devotees.

The Sahara Package

Whether your typical driving pattern involves highway miles or rugged terrain, the Sahara can go the distance with you. Full-time four-wheel drive can get you where you need to go. No matter if it's your first Jeep or your tenth, the 2019 Sahara model can be customized to fit your aspirations.

A New and Improved Engine

A new 2.0-liter eTorque turbo-four mild-hybrid powertrain enters the picture with the 2019 Jeep model. With 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, this is an option that's worth serious consideration. This powerplant is paired with an eight-speed automatic that makes stops and starts both smoother and faster. If you prefer more cylinders, opt for the 3.6-liter V-6 and its 285 HP. While you do give up 35 lb-ft of torque with this option, it is still more than adequate for the needs of most drivers. For an even higher level of performance, choose the eight-speed automatic.

Safety Features

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler focuses on avoiding crashes as much as it emphasizes ultimate safety when an accident does happen. How it excels in safety includes:

       High-strength steel reinforces the frame.

Safety options include blind-spot monitoring, LED headlamps, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The new Wrangler can apply maximum braking, even if you panic and don't press the pedal all the way down.

If you do get into a crash, you can count on seat-mounted front side airbags in every trim package.

Forward collision warnings keep you from ramming into something ahead of you.

Even when you take your new Wrangler off-road, you can be confident in the rough-road detection feature. It adjusts for improved performance when it senses you're off a paved street. As an added safety bonus, the visibility in a 2019 Jeep is better than most in its class.
